Building Employer Engagement Capability at Scale 

Client: Government of Alberta 

Focus: Strengthening employer engagement capability across the provincial employment services system.

Challenge: Alberta’s employment services network needed to lift employer engagement capability across diverse providers, shifting from transactional job matching to intentional, relationship-based practice in support of the provincial government's drive to fill labour and skill shortages in key sectors. 

Our Approach: Over three years, the Prospert Employer Engagement Program reached 543 learners across Alberta, embedding shared language, frameworks, and coaching tools for frontline staff and leaders. Structured sessions, applied practice, and mentoring ensured learning translated into consistent day to day service application. 

Impact: The program has strengthened system wide confidence, improving the quality of employer relationships, and creating clear alignment between employer engagement and client outcomes. Leaders reported stronger momentum, more intentional practice, and a sustainable foundation for long term workforce and economic outcomes across Alberta.
